Job summary

Johns Hopkins University seeks a Life Design Consultant for Manager Development to design and deliver scalable, staff-focused training. You will blend adult learning principles with life design to create engaging digital and in-person programs across campuses.

You will lead the CSLD Manager Academies, design development pathways, and collaborate with HR and university partners to advance leadership capability and internal mobility, in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any subject area and 1 year of work experience or equivalent of a master’s degree by JHU equivalency.
• One year of experience in teaching or facilitating active-learning workshops or classes.
• Certification or 1 year of experience in human-centered design, life design, or UX design and research methodologies.
• Proven experience in designing digital courses using PowerPoint, Articulate, Cornerstone, LinkedIn Learning, and other learning technologies.
• Very strong proficiency in PowerPoint, SharePoint, Canva, HTML, Smartsheet, Visual Design, and CSS.
• Commitment to teach in person and virtually as required.
• Commitment to teamwork and collaborative work practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with university stakeholders to assess needs and create new professional development services.
• Implement assessment and evaluation tools for programming aligned to CSLD/JHU standards.
• Drive digital engagement strategies and represent JHU in thought leadership capacities.
• Design and develop digital courses using Eightfold, Articulate, Adobe AI, Cornerstone, and other learning technologies.
• Learn and integrate Eightfold platform and JHU's career architecture into curriculum.
• Utilize SharePoint and web design tools such as Canva, HTML, and CSS to create accessible digital content.
• Plan and execute large-scale and small-scale events, digitally and in-person.
• Develop and implement innovative career development programs for JHU staff.
• Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback to improve offerings.
