We’re seeking a technically proficient and people-oriented leader to manage our data ingestion and staging functions for Taxwell. As a Manager of Data Engineering, you will lead a focused team of 3 engineers responsible for building and maintaining robust data pipelines using Snowflake, Fivetran, AWS Glue, Python, and dbt. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient flow of high-quality data into our platforms and work closely with analytics engineers to guarantee clean and well-modeled data delivery to downstream consumers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 3 data engineers focused on ingestion and staging.
• Own the architecture and delivery of scalable, reliable data pipelines using Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Python, and AWS Glue.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with analytics engineers to ensure clean data onboarding and modeling practices.
• Standardize and enforce best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and monitoring.
• Drive continuous improvement in data quality, observability, and performance.
• Manage stakeholder communication and ensure timely delivery of data to consumers across the business.
• Stay current with data engineering trends and incorporate relevant advancements.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical management roles in data engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in building data pipelines and managing data infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, AWS Glue, Python, and dbt.
• Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and compliance best practices.
