Base pay range

$180,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr

I am partnered with a Fintech Series A Business, who are looking for a founding Data Lead to build and own their data function from the ground up. You’ll define strategy, build the stack, and shape how data powers everything from underwriting to ops. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll drive immediate results and lay the foundation for a high-performing team.

As a Data Lead, you will be responsible for establishing their modern data stack and ensuring data quality, infrastructure, pipelines, and security.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for building the data infrastructure from scratch
• Lead on implementing data governance frameworks
• Own data quality, infrastructure, pipelines, and security
• Define underwriting metrics and optimize processes via experimentation
• Partner with Product, Engineering & Ops to improve data visibility and workflows
• Communicate insights to drive key decisions
• Mentor future data hires and shape team culture

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years in data engineering/engineering role
• Experience with Snowflake, Python and SQL
• Can demonstrate the ability to build something from scratch/previously worked in a Start-Up environment
• Experience in creating a data warehouse/data infrastructure from scratch
