Job summary

Fleet Data Centers is seeking a Manager, Data Center Critical Facilities Operations, to lead day-to-day site operations of critical mechanical, electrical, and controls infrastructure at our Sparks campus. You will guide the frontline team to ensure safe, reliable performance while adhering to Fleet standards.

The role requires 7+ years in data center operations and 3+ years in frontline leadership, with strong knowledge of power, cooling, and monitoring systems.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities operations, or similar mission-critical environments.
  • 3+ years of frontline leadership experience in a 24/7 operating environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of critical power, cooling, controls, and monitoring systems.
  • Experience with operating procedures, incident response, change control, and plant risk management.
  • Ability to lead teams calmly and effectively during abnormal situations and operational events.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across shifts and functions.
  • Experience with DCIM/BMS/EPMS/SCADA and operational ticketing or work management tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site facilities operations teams for monitoring, rounds, response, procedure execution, and safe operation of critical infrastructure.
  • Ensure all site activities follow approved procedures, change control, permit-to-work, and Fleet standards.
  • Manage shift coverage, daily rhythms, handoffs, escalation, and event coordination.
  • Maintain readiness for abnormal operations, outages, switching, emergencies, and customer-impacting incidents.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and critical systems teams to identify and resolve plant issues early.
  • Drive operator fundamentals: rounds quality, log quality, alarm response, housekeeping, procedure use, escalation discipline.
  • Own site-level KPIs: event response, rounds completion, procedure compliance, incident quality, and team qualification.
  • Support training, qualification, and coaching of operators and technicians to improve site capability and consistency.
  • Foster a culture of vigilance, humility, operational paranoia, and accountability.

Position Overview

The Manager, Data Center Critical Facilities Operations is responsible forday-to-day site operations of Fleet’s critical mechanical, electrical,andcontrolsinfrastructure. This leader ensures the siteoperatessafely, reliably, andin accordance withFleet standards while leading the frontline team responsible for shift operations, inspections, response, procedures, and routine operational discipline.

Expected Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000+ Discretionary Bonus
