Job Overview
This role is responsible for directing a team of senior data analysts and advisors in driving business objectives throughout the Customer Services and After-Sales organization, which includes business functions relating to parts and service, parts logistics, dealer employee training, and the customer assistance center. The primary focus of this role is to support and steer the field force through data analytics to maximize parts revenue and drive strategic after-sales priorities. This role will also be focused on partnering with Parts Logistics to optimize the supply chain to enhance service levels to dealers while minimizing costs. The ideal candidate will exhibit a combination of strategic thinking, business acumen, and technical skill to establish forward-thinking, data-driven solutions and recommendations for the business. The ideal candidate will also possess strong leadership qualities and communication skills to maximize employee engagement within the team.
Responsibilities
• Requires the leading, development, coaching and support of a team of 1 - 5 fulltime employees and 0 part-time employees.
• Lead and direct a team of data analysts in the development and deployment of standardized data models, reports, and dashboards to establish baseline reporting for steering business objectives and performance.
• Engage in strategic discussions with stakeholders and deliver meaningful data-driven analyses and recommendations on driving business objectives.
• Champion use cases in advanced analytics to build a range of meaningful recommendations that lead to robust, strategic discussions.
• Champion stakeholder experience across the reporting suite and act as a data champion across the organization.
• Establish new analytical methods and a continuous improvement mindset to improve reporting used by stakeholders.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to both business and technical matters by actively supporting and communicating findings from highly complex analyses to the appropriate stakeholders throughout MBUSA.
• Proactively identify opportunities for the acquisition and intake of data sources to enrich understanding of the competitive landscape.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (accredited school), with emphasis in a quantitative field such as business, finance, statistics, mathematics, or computer science preferred.
• Must have at least 5 years of combined experience in the following:
o Business – General: Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that influence the success and profitability of the organization.
o Business Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, human resource management and efficiency and process methods.
o Finance: Knowledge and understanding of the implications of key financial indicators and controls and assessing impact of financial information.
o Processing: Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency.
o Data Analytics: Advanced knowledge of relational databases and analyzing large sets of data in order to derive insights, create recommendations and develop business strategy. (Advanced proficiency in SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Cognos, Alteryx and Azure preferred)
o Automotive: Knowledge of retail processes and procedures, with emphasis in New and Pre-owned sales, accessories, service and parts preferred.
• Proficiency with Alteryx and Tableau is a plus.
• Experience developing and testing models and algorithms.
• Knowledge of AI/ML models is a plus.
• High proficiency in advanced mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Ability to lead teams in successfully achieving key milestones and completing deliverables.
• Ability to work under pressure by effectively managing time and delegating workload as necessary.
• Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and commitment to getting things done.
• Must be able to work flexible hours/work schedule, including holidays or weekends as needed.
• Must be able to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
