Tyson Foods in Springdale, AR is seeking a Customer Development Manager to lead Retail Poultry sales initiatives in the Northwest Arkansas area. You will drive market share via optimized merchandising plans, manage broker relationships, and coordinate with internal partners to hit AOP sales and profitability targets.
Successful candidates will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 5+ years of sales experience, strong communication, and project management skills.
Job Details: SUMMARY: Candidates local to NWA will be considered first. This position is responsible for selling Retail Poultry products, increasing market share through optimized merchandising plans, and executing actions that support and amplify customer promotions. The Customer Development Manager (CDM) is also responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships and increasing account penetration. The CDM will work to maximize volume potential and profitability while upholding Tyson’s standard of providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. Category responsibilities include, but are not limited to, RVAP, IQF, and Cornish business segments. This position is responsible for conducting product pricing and promotional programs based on customer, direct, and adjacent market profitability, as well as personal objectives. The CDM will also evaluate broker performance against mutually agreed-upon plans and objectives, conduct Retail Poultry sales meetings with brokers, and provide direction to broker managers on the goals and objectives of the Retail Poultry division. This position will work closely with internal partners across the Poultry business, including Customer Strategy and Execution, Sales, and Business Units, as well as external brokers and customers, to achieve AOP sales goals and profitability metrics.
