Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Engineering Leader in New York to drive a cross‑platform team delivering Disney+ mobile experiences. You will mentor iOS and Android engineers, partner with product and data science, and ensure scalable, polished features for content discovery and playback.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree or better in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities for team growth.
• 5+ years of production experience on iOS or Android platforms.
• Experience with mobile app development lifecycle and delivery practices.
• Significant experience leading teams and managing people.
• Ability to manage teams across multiple time zones.
• Proven experience in monitoring, supporting, and improving app reliability.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with product, design, backend, and data science.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-platform mobile team building experiences for Disney+.
• Manage iOS and Android engineers delivering features for content discovery and consumption.
• Partner with product, design, backend, and data science to deliver polished experiences at scale.
• Support team members across iOS and Android and foster inclusivity, productivity, and growth.
• Meet regularly with direct reports and guide their career development.
• Build and grow a high-performing cross-platform team and recruit top talent.
• Lead delivery of features spanning content playback, presentation, navigation, and personalization.
• Provide technical guidance while focusing on team health and alignment.
• Identify project, people, and organizational challenges and facilitate solutions.
• Improve engineering processes and help the team navigate ambiguity and evolving product requirements.
