Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Aviation Management or related field required.
  • 8-10 years of experience in aviation operations, compliance, or training.
  • Experience leading teams and driving accountability in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong understanding of training compliance, record management, and risk monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team responsible for training compliance activities and record accuracy.
  • Monitor workload, capacity, and productivity to ensure timely compliance actions.
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships for crew member passport renewals and visa procurement.
  • Maintain training record compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Identify risk via dashboards and drive corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Training Management Systems and capacity managers to ensure process efficiency.
  • Oversee training releases and currency changes to keep pilots and crew compliant.
  • Ensure compliance with the 2,500-hour flight time restriction for NJA pilots.
  • Assist with audits and respond to training record inquiries from internal and external audits.

Purpose of Position

The Manager, Training Compliance is responsible for leading compliance oversight, process accuracy, and risk management activities that support Pilot and Flight Attendant training operations. This role manages a team of direct reports, partners closely with Training Management Systems and operational capacity leaders, and owns key vendor relationships to ensure training records, documentation, and required travel credentials are accurate, timely, and compliant.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct reports responsible for supporting training compliance activities, ensuring clear expectations, accountability, workload balance, and professional growth.
  • Monitor team metrics to assess workload distribution, identify capacity concerns, and balance work across Team Members to support productivity, accuracy, and timely completion of compliance activities.
  • Own the relationship with the third-party vendor responsible for Crew Member passport renewals and visa procurement, including vendor performance, service expectations, issue resolution, and budget management.
  • Maintain responsibility for training record compliance, ensuring records are accurate, complete, timely, and aligned with applicable regulatory, company, and operational requirements.
  • Proactively monitor dashboards, reporting tools, and compliance indicators to identify risk, elevate concerns, and drive timely corrective action.
  • Partner with the Manager, Training Management Systems; Manager, Operational Capacity; Manager, Crew Capacity; and Training Capacity Manager to ensure process efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across all Pilot and Flight Attendant training events.
  • Manage and oversee all training releases and rank changes related to Crew Member currency, ensuring updates are accurate, timely, and aligned with compliance and operational requirements.
  • Manage the company 2500-hour pilot flight time restriction for all NJA Pilots, ensuring compliance is monitored, documented, and communicated appropriately.
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes, reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and increase visibility into training readiness and risk areas.
  • Support audit readiness and serve as the primary point of contact for all training record-related questions, including internal and external audits, by ensuring documentation, reporting, and compliance processes are maintained and available for review.
  • Assist the team with daily operational tasks, providing guidance, support, and issue resolution to ensure timely and accurate completion of compliance-related work.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operational, training, scheduling, and compliance stakeholders to resolve issues impacting Crew Member training compliance, travel readiness, or training event execution.
