Job Description

JobSummary

The Credit Manager will lead a team of high-performing credit analysts to achieve desired results by motivating, coaching, and executing the originations strategic plan. This leader will manage credit analyst activity and monitors rehashing to ensure assignments meet established processes/standards. The Credit Manager will partner with sales, funding and other departments while working to innovate and solve unique challenges.

JobDuties
  • Monitor team and processes to maximize productivity. Focuses on origination volume, quality assurance, credit quality performance and performance metrics. Understand company objectives and work diligently to help the team reach their stated goals and maximize productivity; to include assisting other teams within the department as needed.
  • Manage team members and serve as a reliable resource for compliance with corporate policy, program guidelines, credit stipulations, and state/federal laws. Coach team members on growth areas and make training recommendations for improvement. Leverage credit experience to make decisions on exceptions or items outside policy. Monitors and assists team members with rehashing activities.
  • Assist Management in hiring, training, managing and coordinating multiple team members to hit volume and service goals. This includes interviewing and acquiring top talent, creating schedules, conducting training, measuring job performance, addressing performance gaps, conducting feedback sessions.
  • Stays informed of all industry and regional trends; communicate information to team members, and Corporate when appropriate.
  • Ensures cooperation with other departments to maximize efficiency within the company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
  • College Degree Required. Equivalent industry experience may substitute in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum of four plus years of experience in sales or lending. Previous auto finance lending experience preferred.

  • 1 plus years of previous management experience building high-functioning, goal-oriented teams.

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of credit bureau information, data on credit applications, indirect lending procedures, lending terminology, and credit laws and regulations.
