Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manager, Contracts (Individual Contributor) to join the Advanced Technology Sub Business Unit in California. You will own contract management actions across the proposal and contract life cycle, develop and respond to RFPs/BAAs, negotiate terms, and interface with customers.

The role requires a university degree, 8+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years, experience with FAR/DFARS, and an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain program access.

Raytheon is seeking a Manager, Contracts (Individual Contributor) in the Advanced Technology Sub Business Unit (SBU) to join our Airborne Spectrum Dominance Contracts team. The Advanced Technology SBU of Raytheon acts as the front end of the business developing the next generation of technologies that will defend our troops and make the world a safer place. Our technologies span from Electro-Optic (EO) to Radio Frequency (RF) spectrums. The charter of the AT/ASD business is to identify and develop new and leading-edge capabilities, leveraging Raytheon’s key technologies, creating trusted, innovating solutions to address local and world-wide problems.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate effectively with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal.
  • Be a critical member of the PMO, with responsibility for owning contract management/administration actions on proposal and contracts across the acquisition life cycle.
  • Develop and respond to Request for Proposals (RFP) / Broad Agency Announcements (BAA), contract negotiation, contract administration, non-disclosure agreements, and other business agreements for contract such as; Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Firm Fixed Price - Level of Effort (FFP-LOE), and Other Transaction Agreements (OTA).
  • Interface with customers for correspondence, contractual changes and contractual issues.
  • Influence others through the explanation of facts, policies and practices.
  • Investigate and resolve contractual matters by critically thinking, gathering detailed information, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide advice/guidance on contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes.
  • Work with local DCMA/DCAA on government contracts.
Qualifications

You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience Experience working in Contracts, Subcontracts, Procurement, Estimating/Pricing, or Finance Experience with US Government Contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS) Experience as a contracts lead or leading contracts negotiations Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start

An active Top-Secret clearance Experience working in closed areas, classified environments Experience developing and maintaining high-performance relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers Advanced Degrees or industry recognized contracts certifications Strong Microsoft products experience, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. This position is offering relocation assistance.
