Job summary

Westchester Medical Center Health Network is seeking a Manager of Community Relations to foster partnerships across WMC Health locations, coordinate with clinical service lines for community events, health forums, and clinics, and represent WMCHealth at diverse functions.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to public health. You will lead community outreach, CHNA/CSP collaboration with county health departments, and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in community relations, public relations, or a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Healthcare or community-based organization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, local businesses, and other stakeholders to support WMCHealth's mission and goals.
• Coordinate with WMCHealth clinical departments to ensure participation in community events, health education forums, and clinics.
• Organize and oversee public health education initiatives, including workshops, seminars, and informational sessions, to promote health and wellness in the community.
• Represent WMCHealth at community functions to enhance visibility and reputation.
• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage diverse community groups and address their healthcare needs.
• Work with County Departments of Health, local provider organizations and internal WMCHealth stakeholders to conduct CHNA/CSP.
• Prepare regular reports on community relations activities, outcomes, and impact, and present findings to senior management.

This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication and organizational skills, a passion for community engagement, and a commitment to promoting public health.

• Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)/Community Service Plan (CSP): Work with County Departments of Health, local provider organizations and internal WMCHealth clinical stakeholders to conduct and develop the CHNA/CSP.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on community relations activities, outcomes, and impact, and present findings to senior management.

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community relations, public relations, or a similar role, preferably within a healthcare or community based organization setting.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
