Mad Decent is seeking a Manager, Commercial Partnerships to own DSP pitching, platform relationships, and profile optimization across the artist roster.
This is a great fit for someone with a genuine passion for forward-thinking music and 3+ years of hands‑on DSP experience who's ready to own partner relationships and playlist strategy at an esteemed indie label.
This position reports to the Director, Commercial Partnerships, working closely with them to shape commercial strategy and scale DSP campaigns across the Mad Decent catalog, and collaborates cross-functionally with Marketing, A&R, Creative, Operations, and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Manage Partner Relations: Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for key streaming accounts, pitching releases and maintaining strong platform relationships.
- Release Strategy: Collaborate with artists, management, A&R, and internal teams to plan single and album release rollouts and timelines.
- Support Catalog Strategy: Partner with the Director, Commercial Partnerships to identify commercial opportunities across the catalog and develop measurement criteria for release objectives.
- Execute Marketing Campaigns: Partner with internal marketing teams and digital streaming platforms to build and execute impactful marketing initiatives.
- Optimize Streaming & Playlists: Implement best practices for playlisting and profile optimization across DSPs to boost artist awareness and streaming performance.
- Analytics & Reporting: Translate DSP data and consumption trends into actionable insights, and generate ad-hoc and regular performance reports for internal and external teams.
- Monitor Industry Trends: Keep a pulse on shifting consumer demands and platform, competitor, and release trends within the evolving streaming landscape.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in music marketing, DSP relations, or commercial partnerships at a record label, digital partner, or in a related digital content role.
- A deep passion for Mad Decent's creative output and extensive knowledge of the digital media and music streaming landscape.
- Existing relationships in the digital media/music space and a solid track record of executing successful pitches and projects.
- Experience leading projects with labels, artists, managers, and digital partners.
- High level of knowledge in DSP metrics, reporting, and performance figures.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, cross-functional environment.
- Strong content and digital asset management experience.
