Job summary

Gallery Media Group is seeking a Manager, Commercial Finance to partner with publishing and media brands. You will drive revenue management, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and financial operations across the portfolio.

The role collaborates with Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, Treasury, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and timely billing while supporting strategic planning and staffing decisions.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5+ years of relevant finance experience in publishing/digital media.
  • Experience with revenue recognition, invoicing, AR, month-end close, and reporting.
  • Proficient in NetSuite or comparable ERP system and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Own and support revenue management, budgeting, and forecasting across publishing/media businesses.
  • Manage end-to-end invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition with finance teams.
  • Monitor budgets, variances, and financial performance for leadership insight.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand financial needs and impact of decisions.
  • Support staffing, headcount planning, and cost controls in financial planning.

We’relookingforaManager,CommercialFinancetosupportthefinancialoperationsofourpublishingandmediabusinesseswithinGalleryMediaGroup,includingbrandssuchasPureWow and Coveteur.

Thisrolewillserveasakeyfinancialpartnertobusinessandoperationalteams,withresponsibilityacrossrevenuemanagement,budgeting,forecasting,billing,andfinancialoperations. The ideal candidate understands how the financial and operational sides of a media or publishing business work together and can effectively manage the financial lifecycle of revenue-generating business areas.

You’llworkcross-functionallywithFinance,Accounting,SharedServices,Treasury,andbusinessstakeholderstoensureaccuratefinancialreporting,effectivebudgetmanagement,timelyinvoicingandcollections,andvisibilityintooverallfinancialperformance.

What You’ll Do

  • Ownandsupportrevenuemanagement,budgeting,andforecastingacrossassignedpublishing/mediabusinessesandrevenuestreams.
  • Managemonthlyrevenuerecognitionandforecasting,partneringcloselywithAccountingthroughoutthemonth-endcloseprocess.
  • Monitorbudgets,actuals,costs,andfinancialperformance,identifyingvariancesandprovidingactionablefinancialinsightstobusinessleaders.
  • Partnerwithbusinessstakeholderstounderstandfinancialneeds,commercialpriorities,andthefinancialimpactofbusinessdecisions.
  • Manageandtracktheend-to-endinvoicingprocess,frominvoicecreationthroughclientpayment,ensuringrevenueisaccuratelyandtimelyrecognized.
  • PartnerwithAccountsReceivableandTreasurytomonitoroutstandingreceivables,analyzeaging,andhelpresolveoverduepayments.
  • Reviewbudgets,contracts,scopesofwork(SOWs),purchaseorders,andpaymenttermstoensurefinancialandbillingaccuracy.
  • CoordinatewithAccountsPayableandSharedServicestoensurevendorpaymentsandpurchase-orderprocessesarecompletedaccurately.
  • Supportfinancialplanningrelatedtostaffing,resourceallocation,headcount/staffcosts,andbusinessexpenses.
  • Handlefinancialandworkforceinformationwithappropriatediscretion,includingconfidentialemployeeandstaffingdata.
  • Participateinbusinessandprojectwrap-upprocessestoensurerevenue,receivables,payables,andwork-in-progressitemsareappropriatelyreconciledandclosed.
  • Supportadhocfinancialanalysisrelatedtorevenue,profitability,budgets,costs,forecasting,andstaffing.
  • Developstrongcross-functionalrelationshipsandclearlycommunicatefinancialinformationtobothfinanceandnon-financestakeholders.

WhatWe’reLookingFor

  • StrongexperienceinCommercialFinance,ClientFinance,FinancialOperations,oracloselyrelatedfunction.
  • Hands-onexperiencemanagingrevenue,budgets,andforecastswithanunderstandingofhowfinancialperformanceconnectstobusinessoperations.
  • Experiencewithrevenuerecognition,invoicing/billing,accountsreceivable,month-endclose,andfinancialreporting.
  • Experiencepartneringcross-functionallywithbusinessstakeholdersratherthanoperatingsolelywithinatraditionalcorporatefinancefunction.
  • Exposuretostaffing/resourceallocation,headcountplanning,laborcosts,orworkforce-relatedfinancialplanningishighlyvalued.
  • ExperiencewithNetSuiteoracomparablecommercialERPsystem.
  • StrongproficiencyinExcelandGoogleSheets,includingpivottables,lookups,andfinancialanalysis.
  • Bachelor’sdegreeinFinance,Accounting,Business,orarelatedfield.
  • Strongorganizationalandproject-managementskillswiththeabilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesinafast-pacedenvironment.
  • Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytoexplainfinancialconceptsclearlyandpartnerdiplomaticallyacrossteams.
  • Abilitytoworkindependentlywhilealsooperatingeffectivelyaspartofacollaborative,cross-functionalteam.
