Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Manager, Data Management (Individual Contributor) to oversee data pipelines and analytics-ready delivery in a hybrid setting with frequent on-site presence at Cambridge, MA or Research Triangle Park, NC depending on location.

The role emphasizes accuracy, end-to-end data handling, and collaboration with IT and analytics teams to ensure reliable data for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years in data management, analytics enablement, or related roles (biotech/pharma, healthcare, or consulting).
• Experience with commercial data sources (CRM, claims, prescription, specialty pharmacy, market data).
• Thorough knowledge of at least one: IQVIA, Komodo, Clarivate.
• Hands-on experience supporting data pipelines end-to-end (ingestion to analytics-ready delivery).
• Data validation, reconciliation, and data quality check experience.
• Ability to interpret/implement data requirements, mappings, and documentation.
• SQL and modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, cloud data warehouses).
• Experience working with analytics, reporting, and IT partners.

Responsibilities

• Execute data management deliverables aligned to analytics priorities.
• Support ingestion, transformation, and refresh of commercial data sources within established pipelines.
• Own discrete data sources, feeds, or pipeline components within a defined scope.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks (accuracy and completeness).
• Implement data mappings and transformation logic per requirements defined by senior team members.
• Respond to analytics/reporting data requests and clarify data issues as needed.
• Coordinate with IT and platform teams to run pipelines and troubleshoot routine processing issues.
• Support external data vendor data loads, refresh cycles, and issue follow-ups.
• Maintain data definitions, assumptions, and documentation for assigned data sources.
• Identify data issues, elevate risks, and support resolution using established processes.
• Apply existing data management standards, controls, and best practices.
