Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is hiring a Manager, Commercial Accounting for a fully remote biopharmaceutical role, supporting revenue recognition, gross-to-net reserves, inventory and accounts receivable.

You will lead the month-end close for revenue, inventory and cost of goods, prepare journal entries under ASC 606, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on commercial initiatives. Remote work with up to 10% travel, strong US GAAP and NetSuite experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance required or equivalent.
• CPA preferred or active license.
• 8+ years accounting experience in biotech, pharma, or life sciences with US GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close for revenue, inventory, and COGS.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations per ASC 606.
• Oversee gross-to-net reserve calculations with cross-functional partners.
• Serve as primary liaison with third-party logistics providers for order-to-cash.

Role:

Manager, Commercial Accounting at a fully remote biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for hypertension and related conditions, including CKD and sleep apnea.

Objectives:

Oversee commercial finance activities supporting product revenue recognition, gross-to-net reserves, inventory, and accounts receivable to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close for revenue, inventory, and cost of goods;
• prepare journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with ASC 606;
• oversee gross-to-net reserve calculations and partner with cross-functional teams on commercial initiatives;
• serve as primary liaison with third-party logistics providers and commercial partners for order-to-cash processes;
• support product launches and process improvements;
• assist in financial reporting, audit preparation, and SOX compliance;
• drive automation and system enhancements, including ERP projects;
• manage and mentor finance team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, CPA preferred;
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in biotech, pharma, or life sciences, with strong US GAAP knowledge including ASC 606, gross-to-net, inventory, and COGS;
• experience with third-party logistics, large ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), and commercial revenue processes.

Preferred:

experience in public accounting, SOX/internal controls, and publicly traded companies.
