We are seeking a dynamic Collections Manager to lead a team of supervisors and collectors managing accounts receivable and reducing delinquency. Reporting to the Director of Collections, this role requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills in a fast-paced B2B environment. The ideal candidate will have experience coaching teams, implementing best collection practices, and collaborating with Sales and Branch Operations to ensure AR health.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Manage and develop a team of 2 direct supervisors and up to 35 indirect collectors.
• Interview, hire, train, coach, evaluate, and discipline or terminate staff as needed.
• Conduct performance reviews and coach teams to improve KPI results.
• Analyze departmental and performance reports.
• Track and report on key metrics and team KPIs.
• Complete special projects or assignments as directed by the Director of Collections.
• Improve DSO and aging bucket KPIs.
• Ensure high team engagement, retention, and succession planning.
• Enhance customer satisfaction through timely and professional dispute resolution.

Collections Oversight & AR Management

• Assign aging portfolios and workloads.
• Monitor delinquency trends and implement improvement initiatives.
• Review and approve or deny repo and bad debt write-offs.
• Oversee collection actions including skip tracing, demand letters, lockouts, and third-party placements.
• Conduct aging reviews with branch leadership and ensure accounts are thoroughly worked.
• Handle escalated customer collection calls and assist with account reconciliations.
• Support supervisors/collectors with complex or high-risk accounts.
• Communicate with delinquent customers as needed.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6+ years of Credit & Collections experience, including 5+ years in leadership.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems proficiency; Salesforce and GetPaid experience preferred.
• Proven ability to manage large teams and improve AR performance.
• Experience in B2B collections; construction industry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of lien laws and working with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
