  • Responsible for processing assigned workflow in a timely accurate manner and supporting office and clinical staff.
  • Enters and approves orders for tracking purposes and ensures they are sent to physician for signature.
  • Reviews and processes vital sign alert reports and documents action and follow-up.
  • Supports and promotes department and organizational decisions and collaborates with team.
  • Creates and manages performance of direct reports and coaches staff for excellence.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels and participates in interviews and onboarding.

The posted compensation range of $130,302 - $162,815 + Manager Incentive Plan is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay Pathways Home Health & Hospice in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Pathways Home Health & Hospice may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Position summary:

The Manager, Clinical Services (MCS) contributes to the organizational success of providing high quality care by ensuring the coordination, continuity and quality of clinical care following a physician’s approved plan of treatment. The Manager, Clinical Services facilitates the completion of documentation to comply with regulatory, operational and financial requirements. The Manager, Clinical Services acts as a clinical resource to internal and external customers. The Manager, Clinical Services works independently with limited direct supervision, follows and manages staff to adhere to company guidelines, policies and procedures and acts in good judgment.

Areas of responsibility:
  • Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program, including confidentiality of HIPAA protected health information. Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
  • Responsible for processing assigned workflow in a timely accurate manner. Demonstrates the ability to be efficient and productive by organizing job duties and responsibilities and is readily and professionally available to assist all office and clinical staff.
  • Enters and approves all orders for tracking purposes and assure sent to physician for signature. Ensures current orders exist for requested medical supplies. Assures missed visits reported to physician.
  • Reviews and processes vital sign alert reports, documents action, including any follow-up and physician notification. Review and process all wound score deviations documenting any action and/or follow-up.
  • Supports and promotes department, branch and organization decisions. Functions as an effective team member and contributes to the development and achievement of branch and organizational goals and objectives.
  • Creates an “expectation of excellence” and manages performance of direct reports to maximize the value of associates’ contributions towards organizational success.
  • Establishes strategically aligned goals with associates and creates opportunities for continuous improvement of staff by providing frequent coaching, mentoring, and accurate performance feedback. By providing direction and support to staff to deliver quality services with a focus on organizational success. Provides fair and equitable treatment of all associates.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels are maintained, by participates interviews, orients direct reports, recruiting and retaining qualified, productive and customer-focused associates as well as monitors recruitment/retention activities and costs. Provides education and training for associates in support of career goals and the organization’s mission and strategies.
  • Maintains positive staff morale, observable through team spirit, a sense of belonging and recognition of accomplishments and creates a high performing work environment characterized by transparent and open communication, mutual trust and respect.
  • Maintains effective communication.
  • May be required to perform patient visits.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
