Qualifications

  • Three years of healthcare management experience.

  • Knowledge of computers and software including EMR, billing systems, and clinic info systems.

  • Coordinate and manage the care center's financial operation budget and monitor fiscal performance.
  • Provide data and analytics to support provider performance and decision-making.

  • Lead staff to meet patient care, administrative, and operational requirements.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Manager of Clinic Operations, overseeing Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and Endocrinology, you will communicate the organization’s goals to the clinic staff as you constantly seek to improve patient experiences, reach out to the community, and deliver quality care. At the same time, you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues, requests, or new ideas from them to leadership.

Every day you are expected to provide visionary leadership to maximize the effectiveness of all service delivery systems and financial performance. You will engage staff and cultivate a care center culture that prioritizes humankindness and patient-centric care, work closely with staff and providers to ensure that all fiduciary and care center goals are met, and proactively determine workload priorities through planning coordination and managing staff and providers to meet the clinic’s administrative operational and support requirements

  • In collaboration with Care Center and Provider Site leadership, supports a vision and culture that reflects a patient care focused environment. Collaborates, as appropriate, to discuss and effectively manage ongoing operations and resolve operational, staff and financial issues pertaining to the practice.
  • Responsible for coordination and management of the care center's financial operation budget. Ensures that patient care is achieved cost effectively. Monitors fiscal operations on an ongoing basis. Resolves problems and issues and reconciles discrepancies in monthly financial reports. Analyzes fiscal performance to identify strategies to maximize revenue generation while optimizing expenditure levels.
  • Supports provider leadership with appropriate data and analytics to allow providers to effectively evaluate all aspects of the care center performance. Collaborates with hospital leadership and staff to support providers who provide patient care in hospitals, as required. Provides feedback to care center and medical group leadership on provider performance. Escalates provider issues to care center and medical group leadership, as appropriate.
  • Develops, analyzes, and implements processes and systems to enhance customer service. Reviews and monitors patient satisfaction trends and results. Provides mentoring and coaching to staff to enhance customer service skills and ensure patients and internal employees and providers receive excellent customer service. Responds to patient complaints; works to resolve complaints and implements proactive measures to prevent similar occurrences from occurring.
  • Leads by example and creates a care center environment that fosters CommonSpirit Health's mission, vision, values and the Standards of Conduct. Plans, coordinates and effectively leads staff and providers to meet the care center's patient care, administrative, operational, and support requirements.
Job Requirements
Required
  • Three (3) years of healthcare management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead productive engaged teams and work with providers
  • Knowledge of business and management principles, budget control and accounting principles including capital budgeting, cost accounting, professional and patient billing; and ability to apply these principles to a health care environment
  • Knowledge of, or ability to, learn the budgeting process, management reports, accounting, purchasing and patient billing systems
  • Knowledge of computers systems and software including word processing, spreadsheet, database, clinic information systems, electronic medical records, billing systems and other application packages
  • Health insurance knowledge of HMO, PPO, and capitated risk plan contracts as they relate to providers and practices
Preferred
  • Previous out-patient practice & healthcare management experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in primary care strongly preferred
  • Previous management experience in a union environment preferred
  • Prior managed care or integrated delivery systems experience preferred
  • Master's degree in business finance or healthcare administration or related field preferred
