Job summary

Cook Medical is seeking a Business Operations & Execution Manager for AI/Innovation in Bloomington, IN. You will drive operational processes, align with strategic initiatives, and ensure compliance across the group.

The role requires collaboration with HR, IT, and other functions to push initiatives forward. Travel 3–4 times per month, supporting global and regional objectives while maintaining consistency in policies and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in business operations, project management, or cross-functional relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of operational processes for the AI/Innovation group, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain, execute, and follow up on operational activities in alignment with global and regional objectives, as set forth by Director, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Ensure consistency in priorities, policies, compliance, processes, and programs within the AI/Innovation group.
• Within scope of responsibility, ensure all quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements are met.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across business operations, HR, IT, and other functional groups to support and execute strategic initiatives.
• Identify and manage relevant collaboration partners within divisions, functions, and operational units.
• Lead and manage cross-functional initiatives, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and resource coordination.
• Drive operational efficiencies and process improvements through stakeholder engagement and project management contributions.
• Act as a liaison between the AI/Innovation group and other departments, ensuring communication around operational priorities, project updates, and process changes.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders to achieve operational goals.
• Model company standards and demonstrate positive, constructive behaviors that drive team cooperation and support organizational change.

Overview

The Business Operations and Execution Manager, AI/Innovation is responsible for executing and optimizing operational processes, supporting strategic initiatives, and driving operational effectiveness within the AI/Innovation group.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of operational processes for the AI/Innovation group, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with company policies.

• Maintain, execute, and follow up on operational activities in alignment with global and regional objectives, as set forth by Director, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Cross-Functional Relationship and Stakeholder Management, Communication & Project Support

Routine Cook Medical Duties

• Ensure adherence to all company policies, including the Employee Manual/Handbook, Code of Conduct, Electronic Information Policy, HIPAA regulations, Non-Competition and Confidentiality Agreement.
• Participate in regular company meetings, reporting, and compliance activities as required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned in accordance with Cook Medical standards and expectations.
• Meet deadlines for administrative tasks such as expenses, training, reporting, and policy acknowledgements in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum5+ years of proven experience in business operations, project management, or cross-functional relationship management required (with 2+ at Cook Medical preferred).

• Relevant combinations of education, experience, and demonstrated AI acumen will be considered.
• Demonstrated experience driving organizational change and contributing to operational improvements preferred.
