The Data & Analytics team is seeking a Manager, Business Intelligence to solve complex business problems and issues for the organization using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Manager, Business Intelligence works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules, and goals.
The Manager, Business Intelligence will lead a team of engineers who will design and develop data models, create data visualizations, describe the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business insights into actionable plans. Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross-departmental collaboration and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.
Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of technical experience in data analysis
At least 3 years of experience in SQL development
Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and creating data visualizations that drive strategic direction
Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
Proficiency in verbal/written communication to senior and executive leadership
Must be able to accommodate business hours according to Eastern Time
Experience in building and maintaining visualization suites that support a wide array of business customers
Demonstrated experience in developing and mentoring junior staff members
Maintain availability outside standard business hours based on business need
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 2 years of leadership experience (team/teams up to 10 people) managing direct reports
Experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau and/or Qlik for creating data visualizations
Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors
Experience in cloud computing (Azure preferred)
Experience managing workloads via Azure DevOps
Professional experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, NuGet, CI/CD processes and Agile methodologies
Hands on experience working with agile/scrum methodologies including user story grooming, sprint planning, etc. to deliver high quality software solutions improving team velocity and speed to market
Experience with Data Warehousing (Azure/SQL/Synapse) and ETL (Azure Data Factory/SSIS)

Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$106,900 - $147,000 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
