Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital in Akron, OH seeks an Analytics leader to oversee planning, development, and ongoing support for analytic tools including the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and BI environments. You will promote self-service analytics, supervise the Analytics team and ETL staff, and partner with the AI Application Team to ensure governance and data readiness.

• Bachelor degree in Information Services or related analytics field required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred; three (3) years in data analytics and reporting preferred.

Full Time

40 Hours/Week

Monday - Friday, 8-4:30pm

Hybrid, onsite 3 days per week or more per business need

Summary

Oversees planning, development, implementation and ongoing support for Analytic tools, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), third party business intelligence tools and the associated environments. Promotes BI within the user community to leverage BI solutions and to help continue to evolve self-service analytics. Supervises and directs the daily work of the Analytics team and the ETL administrators. Collaborates with Analytics Team in the development and implementation of analytics solutions data governance standards as well as the AI Application Team to curate AI ready data and governance. Assists staff with career development planning to build and grow the depth of business intelligence and analytics knowledge. Assists in the development of capital and operating budgets.

Technical Expertise

1. Knowledge and experience with data warehouses and analytics and reporting tools, preferably Epic's Cogito ecosystem
2. Knowledge of Cloud based databases/warehouses (e.g. Databricks, Fabric, AWS.); Databricks highly preferred s
3. Knowledge of enterprise data visualization tools such (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc); Power BI preferred 4. Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to all levels of management.
4. Ability to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries,
5. Ability to work on multiple projects, balancing competing priorities.
6. Experience managing a team of report writers, analysts, BI developers.
7. Healthcare experience highly preferred.
8. Experience with Agile and CI/CID preferred; Azure Devops highly preferred
9. Experience with AI preparation of data (vectorization and embedding) preferred
10. Experience with creation / deployment of Data Science and predictive models preferred

Education and Experience

1. Education: Bachelor degree in Information Services or related analytics field required.
2. Epic (Cogito, Caboodle, Clarity, etc.), Databricks, Microsoft (Fabric/Azure) preferred
3. Years of relevant experience:Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience required.
4. Years of supervisory experience: Two (2) years of management experience preferred and three (3) years of experience with data analytics and reporting preferred.
