About the Position:

We are seeking a manager to lead our automation team. This role offers a unique opportunity in the MSP world to oversee automation initiatives.

The Manager, Automation will identify and implement automation opportunities, leveraging tools like BPA, PSA, and RMM. The ideal candidate will have experience managing automation engineers and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate automation opportunities.
  • Lead and manage automation engineers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate automation tools.
  • Utilize BPA, PSA, RMM to streamline processes securely.
  • Provide training and support on automation tools.
  • Ensure initiatives are data-driven, timely, and within budget.
  • Track team productivity and report progress.
  • Manage team budget and KPIs.
  • Develop automation strategies with leadership.
  • Maintain documentation and knowledge bases.
  • Manage inventories and vendor relationships.
  • Lead by example and sometimes work alongside the team.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Promote automation organization-wide.
  • Explain complex concepts to clients and non-technical staff.
  • Present to stakeholders and clients.
Experience:
  • Preferred experience with Python and PowerShell.
  • Experience with Business Process Automation tools (Rewst, PowerAutomate, UiPath, etc.).
  • Previous experience with Rewst preferred.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI, BrightGauge, or similar tools.
  • Proven automation and tools management experience, ideally in MSP.
  • At least 2 years leading a team.
  • Hands-on automation experience.
  • Experience with RMMs and ticketing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems like cloud, networking, storage, and software.
