Job summary

Palomar College in San Marcos, CA seeks a Manager, Arts and Media Operations to oversee day-to-day operations of arts and media programs. You will coordinate planning, budgeting, contracts, HR, procurement, and safety compliance across division labs and studios.

In partnership with the Dean, you will help plan and run division events, performances, publications, media projects, and public-facing activities, coordinating with division staff, faculty, and administration.

Primary Function

Manages, plans, coordinates, and administers day-to-day operational activities for arts and media programs; assist in and performs operations functions including planning, budget, oversight of contracts, coordinating with human resources, procurement and customer service; ensures employee health and safety laws, regulations, policies and safe work practices are maintained and enforced in division laboratories and studios; assists the Dean in planning and oversight of all division events, performances, concerts, publications, media outlets, exhibitions and public-facing activities; coordinates division functions and activities with other division staff, faculty and administration groups.

Salary

• $ 8,550.90 [step 1] – $10,415.66 [step 5]. Step placement maybe negotiable within this range dependent upon education and experience. Administrators who possess earned doctorates from accredited institutions are awarded an annual stipend of$1,842.81.
• If you are a current employee who applies via the external recruitment process and is selected for a promotion, step placement on the new grade will be in accordance with the applicable District agreement/handbook.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Five years of experience in arts, performing arts, broadcasting, production management, media, or related field, including two years of supervisory experience.

• Note: For work experience, a "year" is defined as equivalent to 40 hours per week for 12 months. If the position requires supervisory experience, the experience must be at a professional level (i.e. evaluation and/or discipline of staff).

Education: Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field.
