Job summary

Phoenix Suns is seeking a Manager, Arena Security in Phoenix, AZ to lead full-time security operations at Mortgage Matchup Center and 5G Performance Center. You will develop procedures, supervise staff, manage security technologies, and coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure safe events.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory security experience, strong communication, and OSHA certifications (OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred).

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with partners at all levels.
• Ability to respond to incidents during events and work under pressure.
• 3–5 years of industry experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Experience leading organizations of 100+ employees preferred.
• OSHA 10 card required; OSHA 30 preferred (must be acquired within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procedures for staff to conduct briefings and lead briefing sessions.
• Perform periodic safety inspections of the facility interior and exterior.
• Lead management of security technologies (cameras, access control) and plan replacements.
• Support staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for events and daily operations.
• Follow up with guests on concerns or complaints and process claims.
• Compile and document information related to incidents and legal matters; coordinate with counsel.
• Maintain confidentiality on lawsuits and company matters.
• Ensure compliance with life safety codes during events.
• Attend meetings with team members at all levels, executives, clients, and vendors.

In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of managing, training, and deployment of full-time safety and security that will protect team members, guests, vendors, and all properties at Mortgage Matchup Center and 5G Performance Center while also playing a key role in broader department initiatives.

Your Role On The Team

• Develop and implement procedures for staff to conduct briefings using consistent methodologies and leads briefing sessions as needed
• Perform and maintain consistent, periodic schedule for basic safety inspections of the inside and outside of the facility.
• Lead management and maintenance of security technologies. Including cameras, access control systems, and related infrastructure, while developing end-of-life replacement plans and budgets
• Support staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for events, daily operations, and emergency needs
• Conduct follow-up calls with guests who raise concerns or file complaints, ensuring issues are addressed. Compile and process all information for claims and legal matters
• Compile, document, and process all information related to claims, incidents, and legal matters; coordinate with internal and external counsel when required
• Maintain confidentiality on all lawsuits and company business issues
• General knowledge of life safety codes for compliance during events.
• Frequent attendance and participation in meetings involving team members of all levels, including front-line employees, executives, clients, and vendors.

What We Need From Our Manager, Arena Security

• Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to develop posting, briefing sheets and interact with internal and external partners at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to respond to incidents during events and must have excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• At least 3-5 years of industry experience and supervisory experience
• Experience leading organizations of 100+ employees preferred
• OSHA 10 card required; OSHA 30 preferred (must be acquired within 6 months of start
