Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a proven leader to guide a team of application scientists in proteomics, delivering exceptional pre- and post-sales support, training, and consultative services. You will collaborate with sales to grow market presence, manage demonstrations, troubleshooting, and implementation of complex workflows.

As a technical expert, you will stay current on emerging technologies, mentor staff, and build cross-functional relationships to achieve business goals while enabling

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in applicable field
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Materials Science or related
  • Additional certifications in management or relevant technical areas advantageous
  • Valid driver's license required
  • 3+ years of people management or team leadership experience
  • Deep expertise with analytical instrumentation, workflows and applications
  • Experience in proteomics technologies is a plus
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing technical support
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills across all levels
  • Strong business understanding and ability to support commercial success
  • Experience developing and delivering technical training programs
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Proficient in English; additional language skills valuable
  • Advanced problem-solving and project management capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in collaborative environment
  • Experience with quality systems and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical staff
