Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Manager of Anesthesia Support Services to oversee material logistics and personnel within the Anesthesia Support Services. You will work in collaboration with the Chief Anesthetist and Senior Anesthetist, supervising Anesthesia Tech Supervisors and ensuring efficient supply management.

The ideal candidate has at least five years as an Anesthesia Technician with supervisory experience, plus a bachelor’s degree or eight years of relevant work

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years Anesthesia Technician experience with 1 year of supervision.
• Knowledge of inventory control and exposure to budget process.
• Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-department collaboration skills.
• Must be able to prioritize activities of subordinates and manage supply orders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of Anesthesia Support Services including material logistics and personnel.
• Serve as supervisor for Anesthesia Tech Supervisors.
• Provide support to Anesthesia Services in collaboration with the Chief Anesthetist and Senior Anesthetist.
• Submit product requests and supply orders on behalf of the department.
• Maintain and adjust consumable supply levels for the Department of Anesthesiology.
