Job summary

Nemours is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse Manager to lead Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care APRNs and PAs in Orlando. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality patient care, overseeing competency, and advancing education and professional development.

On-site leadership collaborates with nursing leaders, practice leadership, and physicians to support Nemours vision, drive continuous improvement, and manage fiscal stewardship within the department.

Qualifications

• Active Florida APRN licensure with national certification.
• AHA BLS and AHA PALS certifications.
• Minimum 5 years ICU/cardiac clinical experience; leadership preferred.
• Master's degree in nursing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to assigned APRNs and PAs in the Cardiac CCU.
• Oversee competency, professional development, and education for providers.
• Align APRN/PA efforts with department quality initiatives and goals.
• Demonstrate change management and fiscal stewardship in operations.

Job Description

Nemours is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse Manager to join our Cardiac Critical Care Unit in Orlando! This position is responsible for providing leadership to assigned departmental Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) and Physician Assistants (PA) ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. The manger will be responsible for overseeing the competency, professional development, and education of the Advanced Practice Providers, aligning these efforts with the department's quality initiatives and goals. This individual must demonstrate experience with continuous improvement as well as change management skills and fiscal stewardship. This position reports to the appropriate Department Chair (or designee) and works collaboratively with nursing leaders, practice leadership, office managers, Division Chiefs, and physicians. This position role models Nemours standards of Behavior and actively supports Nemours vision and annual goals.

Requirements
