Job summary

Wipfli’s accounting advisory practice seeks a Manager with strong healthcare and post‑acute care experience to deliver controller‑level advisory across budgeting, forecasting, and operation improvements. You will guide clients through financial stability, lead teams, and build trusted client relationships grounded in the Wipfli Way.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 4–6 years in public or private accounting.
  • 3+ years managing associates and/or teams.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Review financial reporting packages for quality and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and analyze benchmarking data and KPIs for client insights.
  • Present reporting packages and findings to clients.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
  • Provide technical accounting support to clients and their teams.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Lead and coordinate US and offshore engagement teams for quality deliverables.
  • Lead and coach staff and senior accountants on accounting matters.

Wipfli’s accounting advisory practice is seeking a Manager with strong healthcare and post‑acute care experience to support our skilled nursing industry clients. In this role, you will provide controller‑level advisory by delivering strategic financial insights, guiding clients through budgeting, forecasting, and operational improvements, and supporting long‑term financial stability. You’ll lead and mentor client teams, oversee high‑quality financial reporting, and build trusted, solutions‑focused relationships grounded in the Wipfli Way. This position can be worked remotely anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities:
  • Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and analyze benchmarking data and key performance indicators to support client insights.
  • Present completed reporting packages and findings to clients as directed.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models in alignment with client engagement terms.
  • Provide technical accounting support to clients and their teams on complex issues.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies through client discovery sessions and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Lead and coordinate the efforts of US and offshore engagement team members, ensuring high‑quality deliverables, efficient workflow management, and a consistent client experience.
  • Lead and coach staff and senior accountants, providing guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 4-6 years of experience in public or private accounting.
  • 3+ years managing associates and/or teams.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Strong project management and relationship-building skills, with a client‑first mindset.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Preferred proficiency in industry accounting software, e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Inacct, and a demonstrated ability to embrace new technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, promote constructive change, and develop team members.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
