Job summary

Compass Corporate is seeking a Manager, Absences & Accommodations to lead a team that supports employees and managers through leave, disability, and workplace accommodation processes. Reporting to the Director, Absences & Accommodations, the role ensures compliant, high-quality service and a positive employee experience across FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, and local leave programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in leave administration, disability management, accommodations, benefits, or related HR functions.
• 2+ years of leadership experience with coaching and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, and state/local leave laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of leave and accommodation advisors through coaching and performance management.
• Oversee daily case operations, workload balancing, service levels, documentation quality, and timely follow-up.
• Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and escalation protocols.
• Review complex or high-risk cases with Legal, Employee Relations, HR, and leadership as needed.
• Conduct audits, calibrations, and coaching to improve accuracy and compliance.
