The iconic Arizona Biltmore is looking for a Pastry Cook II to join the Culinary Team!

Located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix since 1929, this gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $100 million renovation. This iconic hotel has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet of banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 pools, 2 bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining).

  • Classification: Full-Time
  • Shift: Various; must have availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

What will I be doing?

As a Pastry Cook II, you will be responsible for creating, preparing, producing, and baking all pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts for food and beverage outlets, in accordance with recipes and established standards. Your role is part of the hotel's continuous effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Preparing pastry items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and complying with food sanitation standards.
  • Stocking, maintaining, and ensuring proper storage and refrigeration of all prepared products.
  • Developing new products for à la carte and catering menus as needed.
  • Practicing correct food handling and storage procedures according to regulations.
  • Displaying and setting baked products on mobile carts as per specifications.
  • Preparing daily requisitions for supplies and food items.
