Job summary

Blo seeks a Bar Manager to lead daily bar operations, ensuring high-energy guest experiences and a positive team culture. You will oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory, and guest satisfaction, while driving sales targets and maintaining brand standards.

You will hire and develop a talented team of stylists, partner with marketing, and champion Blo’s signature styles. A state cosmetology license and weekend flexibility are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license active in the state.
• Ability to work weekends (Fri–Sat) and peak hours.
• Passion for hair and beauty industry and people care.
• Salon management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Bar Manager oversees daily operations and maintains the bar's vibe and energy.
• Lead a team, manage scheduling, payroll, and inventory.
• Drive in-bar sales goals and motivate staff to exceed them.
• Hire, train, support, and retain a top team of stylists.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar and deliver superior guest experiences.

• Collaborate with marketing on tasks and promotions.
• Support rotation of staff through training and up-skilling.

• Understand the importance of maintaining a squeaky-clean work environment in a salon
• Work one-on-one with our Chief Style Boss (aka Educator stylist) to learn how to master Blo’s 7 signature styles and more (via Blo’s paid training program)

You Must Have:

• An up-to-date cosmetology license for the state
• The ability to work weekends (Fridays and Saturday) and be flexible with your schedule (must be able to work peak hours as determined by the bar, typically Thursday through Saturday)
• A passion for the hair and beauty industry and making people feel better
• Salon experience an asset
