Your Opportunity as the Senior Technologist, Coffee Research & Development – Product Development
In this role, you will play a critical role on the coffee product development team supporting new and optimized formula development and technical execution for our portfolio of coffee brands including Folgers, Dunkin', At Home, and Café Bustelo. You will lead the development and execution of formula design, prototyping, and culinary exploration for roast and ground coffee applications. Expectations include strong documentation of experimental results, building relationships with ingredient suppliers, and demonstrating a collaborative and adaptable mindset suitable for a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute new coffee formulations for roast and ground coffee, including K-cups and espresso capsules.
- Design experimental and test plans for various initiatives.
- Mentor and collaborate with senior developers on formula design.
- Serve as a formulators for Dunkin' At Home and Folgers 1850 products.
- Perform data analysis on ingredients and finished products to optimize performance.
- Communicate results effectively to team members and stakeholders.
- Partner with managers and external suppliers across disciplines.
- Support cost optimization and premium product design efforts.
- Prepare coffee samples for testing and external shipment.
- Utilize CISPRO inventory tracking system for raw materials.
- Collaborate within R&D and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Participate in internal cupper qualification programs.
- Document experimental plans and results in electronic lab notebooks.
- Lead Food Safety initiatives related to Coffee.
- Contribute to the growth of the One Cup Technical Platform for Coffee R&D.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering.
- Ability to discern flavor and taste acuity.
- Willingness to taste various coffee and beverage types, including potential allergens.
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procedures and working independently within guidelines.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work in a hybrid schedule (3-4 days in-office).
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Over 2 years of experience in product development or ingredient application roles.
- Laboratory experience with familiarity in GLP/GMP conditions.
- Experience with JMP, CISPRO, ELN, and Biovia software.
