Job summary

Boyd CAT in Kentucky is seeking a Management Trainee to rotate through service and parts operations, parts and service sales, and administrative functions across divisions. You will shadow leaders, complete projects, and gain hands-on experience to become the next leader in Divisional Operations.

The role emphasizes developing management skills to meet customer, employee and company needs through cross-department exposure and travel to branches as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and be trained.
• Ability to communicate with team members and customers.
• Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, word processing programs.
• Highly self-directed and able to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to move to other branches as needed.
• Travel to branches or locations as required.

The Management Trainee would rotate through each division within their territory to acquire knowledge and experience in both Parts & Service to become the next leader in Divisional Operations. The Management Trainee Will learn the management skills necessary to meet the customer, employee and company needs through shadowing, special projects, customer visits, working in different company departments at various locations and gaining hands‑on experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience required
• Willingness to learn and be trained
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills

• Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, word processing programs
• Highly self-directed

• Maintain a valid motor vehicle operators’ license

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with preparing report and records and analyze data to utilize assets properly
