Job summary

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. is offering a 2027 Summer Internship Program for a Management Information Systems Intern. The role provides hands-on exposure to hardware and software information systems, IT support desk duties, and collaboration with software developers on new applications.

  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.

  • Gaining experience and developing new skills through on-the-job training and exposure to installation of hardware and software information systems
  • Enhancing customer service skills by answering calls for the IT support desk
  • Assisting in collaboration with software developers to test new applications and functionality
  • All other duties as assigned

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine, is seeking a Management Information Systems Intern for the 2027 Summer Internship Program. This program is an opportunity to experience the lumber industry and workforce like never before. From networking opportunities and real-world projects to community service events, Great Southern provides the incredible opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Gaining experience and developing new skills through on-the-job training and exposure to installation of hardware and software information systems
  • Enhancing customer service skills by answering calls for the IT support desk
  • Assisting in collaboration with software developers to test new applications and functionality
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Classification as a sophomore or higher and actively seeking a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or greater
  • Must have experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook
