Qualifications

• Sophomore or higher pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering with GPA 2.5+.
• Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform data collection and analysis for projects.

Job description

Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine, is seeking an Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This program is an opportunity to experience the lumber industry and workforce like never before. Responsibilities May Include

• Performing data collection and analysis
• Generating reports based on results
• Assisting in designing new products, developing stereotypes, and testing existing products for safety or quality issues
• Using engineering software to model data or suggest solutions
• Communicating with supervisors or customers to gather info about project requirements or to report progress on a project
• Performing engineering calculations, including working with computer-aided design (CAD) tools to design products

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least a Sophomore and actively seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
• Must have experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
