Job summary

Rystad Energy seeks analytically driven early-career students for Summer 2027 internships in our Americas consulting team, based in Houston and New York. You will engage on commercial due diligence, market studies for energy IPOs, and long-term strategy projects across oil, gas, and renewables.

You will collaborate to plan workstreams, prepare client-ready presentations, and build models using Excel, Python, and GIS.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field, graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Experience with Microsoft Office for modeling and visualization (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Python, GIS, SQL, or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong quantitative skills with data analysis, modeling, or engineering applications.
• Ability to translate complex analysis into clear client deliverables and visuals.
• Interest in energy markets, technology, and policy.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day:

• Collaboratewith team memberstoplan and execute projectworkstreams, often using Microsoft Excel and internal Rystadproducts to manipulate and forecast data

• Prepare client-ready presentations, using Microsoft PowerPoint andadditional visualization tools

• Communicate with internal team members and external stakeholderson relevant findings, methodologies, and next steps

• LeverageAIto streamline workflows across data manipulationand analysis

You will work on challenging assignments requiring rigorous analysis to drive insights and conclusions. As a member of project teams, you will engage closely with clients and learn and deploy knowledge quickly. You will work collaboratively on project teams, supporting clients across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas sectors, as well as energy transition areas such as renewables, hydrogen, and carbon capture.

Your responsibilities will include structuring and breaking down ambiguous problems, performing quantitative analysis, producing reports, and delivering recommendations,operating with urgencyto deliver results withinclient-driventimeframes. You will work primarily at the Rystad Energy officeyou are based inbut may travel to client sites as required.

Desired Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degreeinaquantitativeor other relevantfield (engineering, economics,energy policy,etc), graduating inWinter2027 orSpring2028

• Experience using MicrosoftOfficefor modeling and data visualization(Excel, PowerPoint)
