Rystad Energy is seeking analytically driven early-career professionals to join our Americas consulting team as we expand in Houston and New York. You will work on diverse energy market projects, performing quantitative analyses and delivering client-ready outputs.

Join a team working across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, with opportunities to travel to client sites and engage with leading energy companies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative or related field; graduation Winter 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Experience using Microsoft Office for modeling and data visualization (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Python, GIS, SQL, or other quantification/visualization software is a plus.
• Strong quantitative skills with data analysis, modeling, or engineering applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute project workstreams using Excel and internal tools.
• Prepare client-ready presentations with PowerPoint and visualization tools.
• Communicate findings, methodologies, and next steps to internal teams and clients.
• Leverage AI to streamline workflows across data manipulation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day:

• Collaboratewith team memberstoplan and execute projectworkstreams, often using Microsoft Excel and internal Rystadproducts to manipulate and forecast data

• Prepare client-ready presentations, using Microsoft PowerPoint andadditional visualization tools

• Communicate with internal team members and external stakeholderson relevant findings, methodologies, and next steps

• LeverageAIto streamline workflows across data manipulationand analysis

Occasional workflows:

• Mapgeospatial information using GIS programs

• Build models and analyze large data sets in python

• Develop client-side productsand market reports incollaborationwith the Analysis department

• Support the commercial team with business development related toongoing or previous client work

You will work on challenging assignments requiring rigorous analysis to drive insights and conclusions. As a member of project teams, you will engage closely with clients and learn and deploy knowledge quickly. You will work collaboratively on project teams, supporting clients across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas sectors, as well as energy transition areas such as renewables, hydrogen, and carbon capture.

Your responsibilities will include structuring and breaking down ambiguous problems, performing quantitative analysis, producing reports, and delivering recommendations,operating with urgencyto deliver results withinclient-driventimeframes. You will work primarily at the Rystad Energy officeyou are based inbut may travel to client sites as required.

Desired Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degreeinaquantitativeor other relevantfield (engineering, economics,energy policy,etc), graduating inWinter2026 orSpring2027

• Experience using MicrosoftOfficefor modeling and data visualization(Excel, PowerPoint)

• Familiarity withPython, GIS, SQL, orotherquantification and visualizationsoftwareis a plus

• Strong quantitative skills, including experience with data analysis, modeling, or engineering applications

• Ability to translate complex analysis into clear written deliverables, presentations, and data visualizations for clients and internal stakeholders

• Demonstrated interest in and understanding ofenergy markets, technologies, andpolicy

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail

• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
