Rystad Energy is seeking analytically driven, early-career professionals to join our Americas consulting team in Houston and New York. You will work on energy-focused engagements, including due diligence, market studies, and strategy projects for energy companies and governments, collaborating with teams to deliver data-driven insights.

You’ll help build models, craft client-ready presentations, and develop market reports while learning from experienced consultants.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative or related field (engineering, economics, energy policy, etc), graduating in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office for modeling and data visualization (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Python, GIS, SQL, or other quantification and visualization software is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including data analysis, modeling, or engineering applications.
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear written deliverables and client presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute project workstreams, using Excel and internal tools to manipulate and forecast data.
  • Prepare client-ready presentations using PowerPoint and visualization tools.
  • Communicate findings, methodologies, and next steps with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage AI to streamline workflows across data manipulation and analysis.
  • Map geospatial information using GIS programs; build models in Python and analyze large datasets.

Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day:
  • Collaboratewith team memberstoplan and execute projectworkstreams, often using Microsoft Excel and internal Rystadproducts to manipulate and forecast data
  • Prepare client-ready presentations, using Microsoft PowerPoint andadditional visualization tools
  • Communicate with internal team members and external stakeholderson relevant findings, methodologies, and next steps
  • LeverageAIto streamline workflows across data manipulationand analysis
Occasional workflows:
  • Mapgeospatial information using GIS programs
  • Build models and analyze large data sets in python
  • Develop client-side productsand market reports incollaborationwith the Analysis department
  • Support the commercial team with business development related toongoing or previous client work

You will work on challenging assignments requiring rigorous analysis to drive insights and conclusions. As a member of project teams, you will engage closely with clients and learn and deploy knowledge quickly. You will work collaboratively on project teams, supporting clients across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas sectors, as well as energy transition areas such as renewables, hydrogen, and carbon capture.

Your responsibilities will include structuring and breaking down ambiguous problems, performing quantitative analysis, producing reports, and delivering recommendations,operating with urgencyto deliver results withinclient-driventimeframes. You will work primarily at the Rystad Energy officeyou are based inbut may travel to client sites as required.

Desired Qualifications
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degreeinaquantitativeor other relevantfield (engineering, economics,energy policy,etc), graduating inWinter2027 orSpring2028
