This role will work closely with Project Managers, business leaders, and stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of changes, drive user engagement, and mitigate resistance to organizational transformations.This individual willnotbe responsible for project management but will focus solely on the people side of change—developing and executing change management strategies, communication plans, and training initiatives to support successful project implementation.Key Responsibilities:Change Management Strategy & Execution- Develop and implement change management strategies tailored to project needs.
- Conduct stakeholder assessments to understand change impacts, resistance, and engagement strategies.
- Design and execute communication and training plans to facilitate adoption of new processes, tools, or policies.
- Apply structured methodologies (such as Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter) to drive user adoption and engagement.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for managing change resistance.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication- Collaborate with business leaders, project sponsors, and end-users to understand concerns and expectations.
- Create compelling messaging and materials for different audience levels.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and feedback sessions.
- Ensure transparent, consistent, and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Training & User Readiness- Develop training programs, job aids, and onboarding materials for impacted teams.
- Conduct training sessions, webinars, or town halls to support change adoption.
- Measure training effectiveness and iterate based on user feedback.
Change Impact & Adoption Measurement- Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for change adoption.
- Conduct post-implementation assessments to identify gaps and areas for reinforcement.
- Provide reporting and insights to leadership on adoption levels and resistance points.
Required Qualifications:- 5+ yearsof experience in Change Management, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Experience leading change efforts on large-scale, cross-functional projects.
- Familiarity with structured Change Management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter).
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and training skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a regulated environment (finance, banking, or government preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:- Prosci Change Management Certification or similar credential.
- Experience supporting Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models.
- Understanding of enterprise-level project governance, RACI models, and compliance requirements.
- Prior experience working with FHLBanks or financial institutions.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow PPM or similar project portfolio management tools.
This position is hybrid and will require employee to be onsite in downtown Chicago Tuesdays – Thursdays, working from home Mondays and Friday. The position is full time and will include a base salary and full benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, vacation, and 401(k) with company match.
