RODS SERVICE INC is seeking a driven Management Trainee to join our growing team in the Saint Louis area. This entry-level program provides hands-on exposure to all business operations and a path toward leadership through a structured training plan.

You'll learn across departments, work closely with managers, and contribute to customer service excellence while developing Excel-based reporting, scheduling, and inventory skills.

Qualifications

• MUST BE PROFICIENT in Microsoft Excel
• Type at 40 WPM with 98% accuracy
• Perform 10-key at 5,000 KPH with 95% accuracy
• Bachelor's degree preferred; strong learning ability welcome
• Leadership potential and eagerness to grow into management
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt
• Customer-focused mindset with a professional attitude
• Past service/retail or team-based experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured management training program covering all key business functions
• Shadow and support experienced managers to learn daily operations and best practices
• Engage with customers in person & by phone to ensure high-quality service
• Support inventory, scheduling, and resource management as directed
• Create spreadsheets for price updates, quotation purposes, cost analysis, history reports, financial tracking
• Help manage sales, purchasing, inventory control & finances

About the Role:

RODS SERVICE INC is looking for a driven and ambitious Management Trainee to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in management, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of our business operations. If you're ready to learn, lead, and make an impact, we want to hear from you! We offer a $55,000 starting salary with a possible raise to 60,000 at your 6 month review if you check all of our boxes & you also have the possibility of further advancement based on your ability to learn, function & excel.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in a structured management training program covering all key business functions
• Shadow and support experienced managers to learn daily operations and best practices

Requirements:

• Preferred if you had a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field, but would accept someone who was extremely intelligent & had a great memory with the capacity to learn quickly. Someone who may have taken some college classes but didn't finish or took the wrong major or someone who may have self developed their computer skills and their knowledge of excel by work experience or personal use of their own computer.
