Job description

This position is part of the Office of Management, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will focus on the logistical execution of the Headquarters (HQ) move and is responsible for developing detailed project plans, including timelines and resource allocation. The role is to ensure the move proceeds smoothly, on schedule, and within budget, minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 3 of the 4 of the following

  1. Leading or coordinating a large-scale, logistically complex project or program that includes: developing and managing project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource requirements.
  2. Coordinating activities across multiple organizations, stakeholders, or contractors
  3. Monitoring project performance and identifying and resolving risks, issues, or delays.
  4. Analyzing project or program information to evaluate progress and recommend corrective actions or improvements to management.

Education cannot be substituted at the GS-15 grade level.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
