Responsibilities include coordinating special projects, research, policy analysis, budgeting, and procurement, with a strong emphasis on customer service and cross‑department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, political science, urban planning, business administration, or related field is required.
• Master’s degree in public administration (MPA) or related field preferred; candidates in an MPA program encouraged to apply.
• 1–3 years of municipal government or public sector experience preferred; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate special projects and operational improvements.
• Conduct policy analysis and prepare recommendations for village leadership.
• Assist with budget development, financial projects, and administrative planning.
• Manage purchasing activities including RFPs and RFQs.
• Administer village programs including inspections and backflow prevention.
• Prepare reports, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and agenda materials.
• Support residential building permit administration and code enforcement.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to resident inquiries.

The Village of Pingree Grove is seeking an energetic, analytical, and service-oriented professional to join our team as a Management Analyst. This position is ideal for someone interested in local government management, public administration, and gaining broad, hands‑on experience working directly with Village leadership.

As one of the fastest-growing communities in northern Illinois, Pingree Grove offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects that have a direct impact on the organization and the community. The Management Analyst works closely with the Village Manager and Department Directors to improve operations, manage special projects, develop policies, and deliver exceptional public service.

Position Overview

The Management Analyst provides professional administrative, analytical, and project management support to the Village Manager and Village departments. The position assists with strategic initiatives, operational improvements, budgeting, purchasing, policy development, and administration of several Village programs while working collaboratively across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating Special Projects, Organizational Initiatives, and Operational Improvements
• Conducting Research, Policy Analysis, and Preparing Recommendations for Village Leadership
• Assisting with Budget Development, Financial Projects, and Administrative Planning
• Managing Village Purchasing Activities Including RFPs, RFQs, and Procurement Processes
• Administering Village Programs Including Rental Inspections, FOG, and RPZ Backflow Prevention
• Preparing Reports, Ordinances, Resolutions, Contracts, Agenda Materials, and Other Official Documents
• Supporting Residential Building Permit Administration and Code Enforcement Activities
• Providing Excellent Customer Service and Responding to Resident Inquiries

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, Business Administration, or a Related Field Required
• Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) or Related Field Preferred; Candidates Currently Enrolled in an MPA Program Are Encouraged to Apply
• One to Three Years of Municipal Government, Public Administration, or Related Public Sector Experience Preferred
  Strong Analytical, Communication, Organizational, and Project Management Skills
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License Required

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 DOQ
