Policy and Management provides overall direction and support to ten City departments for the implementation of City Council policy. Through strong leadership, strategic vision, and professional management, the Department ensures that City initiatives and operations are cost efficient and effective. The Department sets the highest standard for the development, coordination, and implementation of municipal programs to meet the short and long-term needs of the community. The Real Estate Management team within the Department manages all negotiations for lease and acquisition of real property and facilitates the development of affordable housing on City-owned property.
The Policy and Management Department is seeking a highly motivated Management Analyst who is passionate about municipal real estate and property management. This individual has strong experience working with Microsoft Excel, Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Leasing or Real Estate Development, Property Management, and/or Lease Administration. The ideal candidate is experienced in assisting with commercial lease negotiations, commercial lease administration, as well as coordinating commercial property management and asset management activities. The ideal candidate is also experienced with property acquisitions, pro forma analysis, and affordable housing development. Candidates must possess exceptional customer service skills and analytical abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication (written and verbal) skills. This position will require innovation, collaboration and continual communication with the internal and external stakeholders. The ideal person is a conscientious and creative problem solver with a strong ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced working environment. This position will be part of the Real Estate Management team within Policy and Management and report to the City's Real Property Development Manager.
To perform professional, analytical, and administrative duties that require knowledge of administrative principles and analytical practices; to assist a department head, City executive, or supervisor by providing administrative and technical support in the planning, direction and operation of the department; and to provide professional level support to an assigned supervisor. Management Analysts are part of a program that may be assigned to departments on a rotational basis.
