Job summary

MRT Lawn and Garden Center is seeking an in-store management leader to oversee sales, expenses, profits, assets, and staff development in Venice, FL and surrounding locations.

The ideal candidate will bring 2–5 years of retail management experience and a proven ability to delegate, train, and monitor progress while ensuring excellent customer service. Lifting 50 pounds and standing for 8–10 hours per shift are required.

Qualifications

MRT Lawn and Garden Center has been family owned and operated in Venice, FL since 2003. With locations in North Venice, South Venice, and Port Charlotte, we're actively looking for qualified applicants to join our management team.

Job description

Leaders must delegate, train, and monitor the progress of all associates and all facets of the retail store and garden center. The primary responsibilities of in-store management are to manage the sales, expenses, profits, assets, and team members' personal development to ensure customers are receiving the highest level of customer service.

The ideal candidate will have at least two to five of previous retail management experience. We are looking for qualified individuals for roles such as shift manager, assistant manager, and store manager. Working and/or managing a hardware store, retail garden center or home decor/apparel store isn't a requirement but will be preferential for applicants.

The ability to lift 50 pounds consistently, and to stand and walk for up to 8 to 10 hours during shift are required.
