Job summary

nuHarbor is hiring a Security Analyst in Chicago to join the Managed Services Security Operations team. You will monitor client environments, triage alerts, and conduct investigations, escalating as needed within SLAs.

The role requires independent work, strong communication, and ongoing threat awareness. The position supports containment, reporting, and collaboration with clients and internal teams, with growth opportunities and a structured shift pattern (Wed–Sat, 3:00pm–1:30am ET).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years related experience with certifications.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with SIEMs and incident response concepts.
• Ability to explain network and host hardening methods.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client environments and triage security alerts within SLA.
• Conduct investigations, escalate high-severity findings as needed.
• Execute containment and response actions on endpoints when required.
• Document tickets with evidence and rationale for escalation.
• Develop and improve incident response documentation and runbooks.
• Provide periodic security operation reports and participate in client meetings.
• Stay updated on threats, exploits, and vulnerabilities.
