Job summary

nuHarbor is seeking a Security Analyst to join our Managed Services Security Operations team. You will monitor client environments, triage alerts, and conduct investigations to disposition or escalate findings within SLA.

You’ll work a Wednesday–Saturday shift (3:00pm–1:30am ET) and leverage SIEM, MDR, and mXDR tools to protect client environments while communicating clearly with internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; in lieu of degree, 2 years of related tech experience with certifications.
• 2+ years’ experience with Splunk ES, CrowdStrike Falcon, and/or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Ability to explain basic hardening methods for network and process detections.
• Familiarity with endpoint security best practices.
• Knowledge of incident-response concepts and procedures.
• Advanced understanding of security technologies to mitigate cyber risks.
• Understanding of common network services and related attacks.
• Prior technical support or security-focused experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client environments and triage security alerts.
• Conduct investigations including high-severity findings and provide actionable escalations.
• Document evidence trails and disposition rationale for escalation or client delivery.
• Operate SIEM, MDR, mXDR tooling within rules of engagement.
• Identify gaps and mitigations in client environments and communicate them to teams and clients.
• Participate in client security operations meetings and produce standard reports.
