Critical Start, Inc., based in Plano, TX, seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer for our Managed Security Services team. You will monitor and maintain SIEM environments and onboard clients, supporting Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Cybersecurity/IT or equivalent (plus certs).
• 2+ years in a cybersecurity engineering role.
• 2+ years with SIEM tools (Splunk & Microsoft Sentinel).
• Experience handling security data sources, logs, and ingestion methods.
• Experience creating SIEM content: alerts, reports, dashboards.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• 2+ years with next-gen AV/EDR solutions.
• Scripting in Bash/PowerShell/Python or similar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expertise in SIEM tools and security architectures.
• Deliver managed services to clients via SIEM-related projects/workflows.
• Provide technical leadership and configuration guidance to customers and colleagues.
• Collaborate on developing technical paths and lead cross-functional trainings.
• Create and maintain security policies, data sources, content, and alerts.
