$45.44 - $63.62 per hour, depending on relevant experience.

Summary

Performs mammography procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

Reviews patient history, physician orders and schedules appointments; educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examinations; prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope of practice; monitors patient condition, reports and responds to changes; assists the physician with interventional procedures such as fine needle aspiration and needle localization; prepares equipment and supplies; selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters; implements safety standards and quality control procedures; troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions; participates in MQSA compliance; positions patient and performs imaging; analyzes results, identifies image quality issues, takes corrective actions including repositioning or repeating procedures; enters, transmits, and reports scan results; demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment, and self‑directed work in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program; Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Mammography (M) by ARRT—or ARRT‑R plus State Provisional Mammographer registration and ARRT‑M within 12 months; State licensure if required by law; Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification or CPR card in hand before start date; BLS or CPR card valid for at least sixty days from hire.
