Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform mammography procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety. Must hold ARRT certification, Texas licensure, and BLS; 2 years mammography experience preferred. Shift: 4 days a week, Mon-Fri, 6:30AM-5PM with rotating day off.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in radiologic technology or graduate from AMA approved school.
• ARRT certification and Texas licensure required on hire.
• BLS certification required by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition and ensures it is properly supplied for procedures.
• Performs mammography procedures accurately and safely.
• Communicates with patients clearly and in a professional manner.
• Verifies patient identification and prepares patients for exams.
• Assists with scheduling and coordinating exams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Performs quality control on assigned equipment and reports issues.
• Attends departmental meetings/classes and completes required courses on time.
• Wears employee ID and follows dress code policy.
