The ideal candidate brings ARRT-R and ARRT-M credentials, a completion of an accredited radiologic technology program, and at least two years of hospital-based mammography experience, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist and Mammography experience.
• Certifications in ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Performing mammography exams per physician orders and protocols.
• Gathering patient history, screening for contraindications, and explaining procedures to reduce anxiety.
• Protecting patient privacy, positioning patients safely, and assisting with transfers.
• Reviewing images for quality and completeness, maintaining first-time acceptance rates.
• Operating equipment safely, optimizing dose and technique, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Performing quality control tests, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Labeling and documenting images accurately, managing procedure records, and maintaining a clean, stocked suite.
• Providing pre- and post-exam instructions, addressing patient questions, and supporting team training.
• Maintaining professional communication, documentation, and staying current with educational requirements.

Education
